Born July 22, on the cusp of Cancer with Moon in Taurus, he was emotionally steady and calming, ideal for a high-strung and volatile woman like Edith Piaf. His chart shows him to be a good listener, a tolerant person, and much devoted to loved ones. Both he and Edith Piaf enjoyed company and parties, as we see in the movie La Vie en Rose. Marcel Cerdon, the French boxing champion, naturally supplied a feeling of warmth and home. How appealing this would have been to an abandoned waif, a little sparrow.
The outer mirrors the inner, and this 4’8” frail woman (physically) was
strongly attracted to the middleweight champion, but their inner lives
were almost the opposite. She was tougher emotionally. Marcel Cerdan
needed that wife and family he had, emotionally. However, he was also prone to intensity in love affairs, and no doubt this was part of the appeal of Edith Piaf to him.
