| WHAT KIND OF
EXPOSURE CAN YOU GET?
Here's an example.
One of my articles, "How to Get Referrals," was chosen
for syndication through a web service. It appeared on 4,000+
syndication websites, it went to 15,000+ syndicator eMagazines (ezines),
and it was mailed to 23,000+ Etips subscribers.
Are you doing the math?
I talk about my Internet
articles as having half-lives because look at the exposure
you can get from one article:
- Featured on a specific website
- Featured in someone's ezine;
THEN ARCHIVED ON THEIR WEBSITE
- Listing on an article exchange site
- Listing stays up on article exchange sites 6-12 months or
more-- in fact one site claims it will have your article on
their permanently as in "past your
lifetime." Immortality! (Though most of us
are after something more pragmatic -- business!
Money!
- Articles are archived on the individual sites where they're
posted, for who knows how long. Things I've written pop
up many months later.
- How many times have you sent a TopTen to a friend?
People share articles and this gets your name around even
more.
- Your byline (aka
resource box) must stay with the article for someone else to
use it
- Editing of articles is not allowed
Articles attract -- they
draw people to your website. You don't have to go after
them. If you're an entrepreneur trying to build your
practice to the tipping point, you SHOULD BE spending at least
HALF YOUR TIME marketing.
This is like moving up the
evolutionary marketing scale. You become an agrarian planter
and harvester, not a hunter/gatherer. Imagine the energy
this saves.
But, you say, you majored
in X, Y Z, and your profession is A, B, C. You didn't major
in marketing. In fact you don't understand it/don't like
it/don't want to do it. If this is you -- read on!
Again, my articles have
stayed up on certain websites for
months. Check this site out -- UICI
Solutions -- this is an article that has been up on that site
since January 1, 2002! Maybe it's become a permanent part of
their site.
When the big Irish self-help site MyPotential
launched, one of my articles was featured on the splash
page. How cool is that? WHAT
DO YOU THINK THE ADVERTISERS PAID TO BE ON THE PREMIER FLASH
PAGE???
I paid nothing. I did
nothing. I wrote a great article and submitted it to an
article site; that's all. THEY came after me -- to bring me
all those clients!
I'm sure YOU want some of
this great exposure for yourself! But how do you get it
when:
- You don't know how to write
- You HATE to write
- How on earth can you do YOUR BUSINESS and sit around writing
articles all day long????
- And just wait til you
see the time it takes to submit them!
If you want to attempt this
yourself, I recommend my ebook "Writing
Articles for the Internet". This way is more
effective, however, and I'll tell you why!
Experience -- that's
why. And reputation.
Now
when I say exposure, I mean EXPOSURE.
Let me tell you a story. I live in San Antonio, TX.
I have a friend (Doug) who lives in Mobile, AL. The
other day he was talking with a friend who runs an insurance
agency who needed help with personnel. Thinking of me, Doug
said, "Well I know a coach who can help you. Her
name is Susan Dunn." "Oh," said the owner,
"I know her and was thinking of calling her," and he
pulled out a hardcopy newsletter sent out from his regional
office. There was one of my articles, pulled off the
Internet!
This can't happen every time, but it could happen
any time! |

HOW CAN YOU WRITE
ARTICLES
AND DO WHAT YOU DO??
THAT'S WHAT I'M HERE
FOR! |
|
Let me promote your business or service in one of
my articles. I'm well-known in the ezine/article
circles. People have even asked me to write articles for
their ezine and for their website.. Editors email me they'll be using one of my
articles on their sites. The wheel is greased! My
reputation is established.
When you
consider how many articles there are floating around on the
Internet, you can see that if the publisher recognizes the
writer's name, and knows she represents quality, you're way ahead
of the game.
I have a list of over
30 announcement lists and
exchange sites where I post my articles. For certain
subjects, it could be submitted to over 40 sites.
I do it by
hand. I do it personally.
INTERNET
WRITING SERVICE
Here's the writing service I offer.
1. I'll
go to the website you want to promote and come up with a suitable
article relating to that site or your business.
2. In rare instances I can't make this work --
if its an unsuitable product or service in my sole discretion -- and
your money will be cheerfully refunded.
3. If
there's something special about your service or products you want
promoted, you can let me know by email.
4. If need be I'll contact you by email or by
phone to discuss the project.
5. When I've finished the article, I'll send
it to you for your approval.
6. When we're satisfied with the article,
first I'll run it in my ezine.
7. Then I'll submit it to the article resource
sites and lists where ezine publishers and webmasters go to get
content. |
I'm sure by now you're beginning to see the
VALUE of
this kind of exposure. It goes more places and lasts longer than
a single ad placed in an ezine ever could.
OKAY,
SUSAN, HOW MUCH IS IT?
It's less than you would expect (see cost of
ghost-writing below) because it gives me exposure as well as you, and
that's only fair.
So here's what you get:
-
A professionally written article promoting your
business by a widely-published and respected author
-
Your article in my ezine
-
Your article posted to over
30 article submission
sites and lists
-
Increased exposure because it's under my name
-
The half-life thing -- unlimited
exposure.
(If you've noticed, Thomas Leonard is right now publishing TopTens
from a year ago. The job's done. A year later here comes
your article again!
LET ME GIVE YOU JUST ONE EXAMPLE OF HOW THIS
HALF-LIFE THING WORKS
And if you like lazy-marketing, you'll 'get' this one
right away!
This is a true example and the name's been removed to
protect the VERY
VERY GENEROUS!
-
I post your article on XXX site. They feature
the 25 most recently submitted articles, so there you are.
People check this site daily to see what's new. Exposure
#1.
-
How do I know
they do this? Because people email me all the time, responding
to my articles on that website.
-
Then I have
their email address and can work to get them on my ezine
subscription list, or to become a client. You know how hard
you have to work to get true opt-in email addresses. ARE
YOU BEGINNING TO GET THE PICTURE HERE? Light bulbs
should be flashing in your head!
-
Then they move it to their archive, which stays up
for years (from the beginning, so far. They don't seem to
delete.). There the public goes to look for
content, and so do webmaster's, publishers, and ezine editors
looking for articles for their sites and ezines.
-
They get the
content FREE; they're highly motivated.
-
At the same time, an ezine editor picks it up and
features it in his ezine ... and this can go on, as you can see, for
years.
-
Someone can even pick it up from the second ezine,
because the copyright box stays with it giving them permission to do
that!
-
Next the
administrator of this site publishes one of these
articles every day in his ezine, with an opt-in list of 10,000+, and runs a couple
of weeks behind, so in a month or two -- there comes your article
again!
-
The head of an organization sees it and asks if he
can print it on his .org website
-
There's also a
place on the website where you can click for random articles.
Your article could pop up there at any time as well.
Round and round it goes, and where it stops, nobody
knows.
I've been in marketing for many years, and it's really
one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.
Talk about
a bang for your buck.
Oops ... I almost forgot these two other
advantages. If you aren't into search engine placement, it won't
mean much to you, but if you're hoping someday your website will make it
in the top 10 on google, here you go:
-
Search engine spiders look for how many external
links there are to your website, and each article gives you an
additional external link.
-
There's one article submission site that's been
responsible for my high search engine ratings--my little secret
which I'll put to work for YOU. It seems to be a direct feed to google, and google's
where you want to be, and that's where your article will go!
-
There are people
paying tens of thousands of dollars to be submitted to 90,000 search
engines. This is ridiculous. You want to be on google,
yahoo, lycos, askjeeves, altavista. The heck with
90,000. Furthermore there's no GUARANTEE.
-
Ask yourself
this -- how many search engines do YOU use?
These articles themselves can also pop up on
search engines at the greatest times! There's one article I
wrote that showed up in the top 10 on google under a term that was
really great for my business. There could be others; I don't
have time to check around, nor would I know which terms to look under.
I also I don't need to. My practice builds on the articles I've
already written.
Someone asked me the other day what percentage of my clients/business
came from Internet articles. Here's my reply:
At least 90% of my clients and 90% of my product sales
come from my Internet articles.
When you consider the cost of Internet advertising AND the possibilities
for exposure this gives you, and the fact that it's far less
than my ghost writing services, $79 doesn't sound like much to pay, does
it?
If you think that
sounds like a lot, consider this -- to get an ad, maybe 4-6 lines in
a heavy-hitting ezine, can cost you $4000 and it's run ONE
TIME. ONE ISSUE. ONE EMAIL.
Consider the average
open rate for ezines. Your chances of being missed on this
one-shot deal are very high.
Order yours immediately! I can only accept a
certain number of these each month. Click on the PayPal button to
make your payment (they'll notify me) and then email me to let me know
what site or business you have in mind.

MARKETING
STRATEGIES & WEB STRATEGIES
I work with the best
webdesigner there is. She designs the site; I get it on the search
engines. Metatags? Certainly not! They don't work any
more. As soon as someone figures a way around something on the
Internet, it gets blocked. I am often able to get clients in the top ten on google and yahoo. EMAIL
for more information and a quote for prices.
QUICKIE

Topic of your choice.
They'll know you were there!
These quotes are sent
out to a large mailing list every day. The quotes are usually
shorter than your resource box! IF
